Vol. 11 Monkey mischief

Monkey Mischief contains the single most popular piece of the course – Skatebored! Long after kids finish this volume and go on to greater things, they still go back to Skatebored with its irresistible jazzy patterns over a walking bass. But Monkey Mischief includes some challenging classical work as well – Musette (Leopold Mozart) with the left hand moving in broken ocataves and Gavotte en Rondeau (Dandrieu) with with a busy right hand of quavers and semiquavers over a LH repeated pattern. There are two duets (Rain and Wind) with both parts of equal interest and standard and one or two familiar traditional tunes too.
